Alright! I started this blog at the end of September 2019. I thought that maybe I could make some sense of the situation and share it, but republicans really dashed any hope of that.

This impeachment is all about bribery, false information, and republican donor funds. You use a party 'whip' to enforce party 'discipline' under threat of not being supported ($) by the party during elections. Plain and simple.  All those digressions by Nunes, Jordan, Pence, and 'Mitch' simply show they know they've been bribed. I don't believe the Republicans want a fair trial, and I feel they as a group have reneged on their oath of office. All for campaign finance monies! And the root cause is that Citizens United Supreme Court decision!

Corporations aren't people, they are all about $! The magnitude of the donations and subsequent control over these monies sets up a situation where anything goes. An economic and sometimes legal term often used in discussing this type of situation is 'moral hazard'. And I feel that republicans have fallen into the 'moral hazard' tarpit and are happy to stay there. Only problem is they all let Trump walk all over them, they are doormats and don't care.

Welcome to ImpeachMentor! I'm tired of all the posturing about the "Trump Impeachment" inquiry. I don't think the Democrats really have any idea of what they hope to accomplish; and I don't think the Republicans understand that they look complicit with Trump and the Trump Administration in the decline of American democracy; and it looks like Republicans really don't care about having a real representational democracy. And for both, it looks like it is really all about the money!
